How talks get selected

Every speaker earned their slot.

BSides Tampa runs an open Call for Presentations: no submission fee, no pay-to-play. Every talk, training, and village is selected by a community review committee, not by sponsors. First-time speakers are actively encouraged; some of the best sessions come from people sharing something for the first time.

The same process applies to our Call for Trainings and Call for Villages. All three are closed for 2026. Every presenter you'll see at BSides Tampa earned their slot on merit.

CFPs open each year, usually a few months before the event. Follow us to be notified when submissions open for 2027.
