What is an Uber Badge?
An Uber Badge is the highest recognition BSides Tampa can bestow. Inspired by the DEF CON Black Badge tradition, an Uber Badge grants its recipient lifetime free admission to BSides Tampa. It is awarded at BSides Tampa's discretion for exceptional achievements, including badge challenge victories, outstanding community contributions, and extraordinary Krewe service.
Each Uber Badge is a one-of-a-kind physical artifact, but the honor it represents goes beyond the hardware. It is a permanent mark of recognition from the BSides Tampa community.
Uber Badge rights are non-transferable
The lifetime admission right belongs to the person who earned it, not the physical badge. If a badge is sold or transferred, the lifetime admission right stays with the original awardee. This page serves as the official record of who earned each Uber Badge.
