Wesley Alvarez is a native of Rochester, NY with a passion for Cybersecurity education and new technology. He has spent the last 8 years working with and for the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants(EC-Council) with the vision of building the next generation of Cybersecurity professionals in the United States through higher education. His experience comes with over 9 years in academic publishing and strategic program development in compliance with industry accrediting standards, while supporting an academic network of over 1,000 institutions at the K-12, College, and University levels. Wesley is on numerous content and program advisory boards for Colleges and Universities across the nation and has worked with some of the most prominent institutions in the U.S. including the University of Maryland University College, Naval Post Graduate School, Western Governors University, UNLV, DCITA and more. He also is a member of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education(NICE) Training and Development sub-working group, with focus on Cyber Range innovation and participates in supporting efforts surrounding the Cybersecurity Credentialing Collaborative(C3). Wesley also supports student career readiness and employment in Cybersecurity roles through Career Fairs and the Global CyberLympics.
