Attendees with Disabilities:

In order to be inclusive of all members of our IT community, the B-Sides Tampa Krewe would like to be observant of those with special needs.  To do so, we need your participation in the planning.  By providing us with advance notification of any attendees that require a disabled parking space, ASL interpreters, or any other special needs we will make our best efforts accommodate.   Due to the limited number of disabled parking spaces available on campus we will take care to reserve extra spaces for attendees that require them. Please be aware if an interpreter or a disabled parking space is needed YOU MUST request on by EOD Tuesday February 13th via email to


Conference Talks

This year’s conference will feature 45 talks covering multiple domains of information technology and several new villages, talks and demonstrations for our attendees. Please be aware that seating is on a first come basis so if you see a talk that you are interested in please try to plan your schedule accordingly. Please be aware that rooms 1, 2, and 3 will be recorded and posted later.  All other tracks you will need to be in attendance if you would like to experience the speaker and their topic.  Schedules will be available onsite during the event and can be viewed online anytime at:



This year we are expecting more attendees that our previous years. To accommodate the additional attendees, we have purchased additional parking for our guests. If the onsite parking is full, please use the City of Tampa parking lot located at the address below. There will be no additional parking fee for attendees using the City of Tampa parking lot. You will NOT need a parking pass as we reserved the entire lot for BSides attendees.

Even though you have purchased tickets for this year’s conference you must still register once you arrive onsite where you will be issued your badge, shirt and conference swag. This year we will host early registration at Stetson College of Law – Tampa from 12:00 (noon) till 6:00 PM. If you are unable to come to early registration you are always free to register prior to conference. Day of registration begins at 7:30 AM.  All available tickets have been sold so there will be no walk-up

From the West (Pinellas): Take I-275 North, Take Exit 44 toward Downtown-East/West, Take the Scott St. ramp toward Downtown-East, Stay straight to go onto Scott St.

From the East (Brandon): Take the S Selmon Expressway Toll exit toward Tampa/Port Tampa, Merge onto S Selmon Expy/FL-618 W., Take Exit 8 toward Downtown-East, Stay straight to go onto Kennedy Blvd., Turn Right onto Florida Ave., Turn right onto Scott St.


When you register you will be given a ticket for our evening raffle. This year we will be raffling off EC-Council training classes, SANS training classes, No-Starch Press Books and more. Please be aware that you must be present to win. You will not be contacted if your number is drawn and you are not present.


Villages and Special Tracks

Career Track

If you are planning on attending the Career Track we ask that you PLEASE BRING MULTIPLE COPIES OF YOUR RESUME. We will have HR representatives onsite that will review your resume for free and offer additional assistance.

Electronic Recycling (Main Building – 1st Floor)

If you have any old electronics (remotes, VCR, cables, etc.) that you are looking to get rid of do not throw them away, bring them to B-Sides Tampa. Our friends on Stream Recycling will be onsite collecting any e-waste that you have any will recycling them for free. All items are accepted except TVs and CRTs.

Lock Pick Villages (Main Building 2nd Floor)

This year’s Lock Pick Village will be hosted by Augusta Locksports. They have added new locks and will be selling lock picks and bump keys for any attendees that would like to practice on their own. All payment for items at the LPV will be organized by Augusta Locksports.

Electronic Badge Assembly (Main Building 2nd Floor)

The Tampa Hackerspace will host an electronic badge assembly class for attendees. There will be a $10 fee for all parts needed to assemble the badges. Payment for all items will be handled by Tampa Hackerspace.

CTF – Capture The Flag (Ferguson Hall 1st Floor)

This year’s CTF will be hosted by ReliaQuest and open for all attendees. There is no additional fee or sign up required to participate in the CTF. If you are planning on participating in the CTF we encourage you to arrive before 10:00 AM in order to ensure your place in the CTF.

Escape Room

Living Security will be hosting a Escape Room at this year’s conference. Teams are encouraged to register for the Escape Room prior to the conference in order to ensure your spot. Teams can consist of a minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 participants.  The escape room last 30 minutes and prizes will be awarded to the team that finishes first. Car Hack Village

If you were not able to attend DefCon, do not worry we are being their Car Hack Village for you. The village will feature an Interactive Car Hacking Village.

Food Trucks

This year we have arranged for additional food trucks to accommodate our guests. The food vendors have been informed about the large number of attendees we will have and stated that they will make sure to have enough food to. This year we will feature the following food trucks, please feel free to check out their menus.

Please be aware that this year the B-Sides Krewe will be providing coffee and tea to all our guest throughout the day, and Disco Doughnuts will be available early morning selling hot fresh made doughnuts

Evening Happy Hour

If you are staying for our evening keynote we would like to invite you to stay for the evening happy hour, sponsored by the (ISC)2 Tampa Bay Chapter. The evening will have free appetizers and drinks for all attendees.
